Are you a classical pianist who just wants to learn the basics of jazz piano? Then “Jazz Klavier-Akkorde” is perfect for you! Throughout the course, we will explore the essential elements of jazz piano, specifically focusing on chord structures and symbols.
We will start by covering chord symbols, which provide a shorthand way of writing out chords in jazz notation. You will learn about the different types of chord symbols and how to read and interpret them. Next, we will explore chord tensions, which are additional notes added to a chord to create a more complex and interesting sound. We will also provide a brief explanation of each type, including major and minor chords, diminished chords, exaggerated chords, half-diminished seventh chords, sus chords, seventh chords (dominant), and alterations.
In addition to learning about chord structures and symbols, we will provide you with exercises to help you practice and develop your skills. These exercises will range from simple chord progressions to more complex ones, allowing you to gradually build your knowledge and proficiency.
