“Dixieland Piece” for Wind Quartet on a Theme by Tagir Karimov, arranged by Airat Karimov, is a sparkling concert work for clarinet in B♭, trumpet in B♭, trombone, and tuba. Written in ABA form, it begins with an energetic theme, moves into solo passages for clarinet, trumpet, and trombone over the steady bass of the tuba, and returns to the full ensemble sound.

The piece fully reflects the Dixieland style: collective improvisation effect, syncopated rhythms, and bright, humorous character. It provides excellent repertoire material for chamber ensembles, concert programs, and educational use.

Based on a theme by composer and bayanist Tagir Karimov, arranged by pianist and composer Airat Karimov, and published by pianist and arranger Dias Karimov, the work underlines a generational continuity in music-making.
